How to renew Autopass online

Motorists who have been driving from Singapore to Malaysia, or vise versa, probably encounter the problem of having to queue up at the checkpoint to update the Autopass Card. The good thing is, starting this 2020, The Singapore government only accepts online application for Autopass Card and also implements the online-only update for Autopass Card.

Relevant documents need to be prepared:

  • Car card VOC
  • Road tax
  • Certificate of insurance (no VOC card, can be purchased at JPJ office, only RM50)

1. Fill in the relevant information of the owner and the car.

2. Upload Car Card VOC, Road Tax, Insurance.

3. After confirming that the information is correct, click Submit.

4. You will receive an email notification upon completion and your application will be processed.

5. Wait an email for a successful update.

Attention! If the owner is PR or Singaporean, you cannot update online.

Renew your VEP for Malaysia-registered cars and motorcycles

Extension of stay in Singapore

VEPs have a validity period of 14 days. To extend your vehicle’s stay in Singapore, you will need to renew your VEP. The 14-day VEP validity period will start on the date of the vehicle’s entry into Singapore, and thereafter on the date of payment during VEP renewal. Please renew your VEP before its next expiry. Enforcement action, including the seizure of vehicles, will be taken against vehicles with expired VEP.

To apply for VEP extension, please schedule an appointment here to visit LTA’s Customer Service Centre at 10 Sin Ming Drive, Singapore 575701, at least 5 working days before it expires.

Please note this extension of stay in Singapore is only applicable to Social Visit Pass holders.
