Plumber

A plumber is a tradesperson who specializes in installing, repairing, and maintaining systems used for potable (drinking) water, sewage, and drainage in plumbing systems. They are responsible for ensuring that these systems are functioning properly and safely, and they may work on a variety of different types of buildings, including homes, businesses, and industrial facilities.

Plumbers typically receive training through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on experience, and they may be required to obtain a license in order to work in certain areas. They use a variety of tools and equipment in their work, including pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, and plumbing snakes, as well as more specialized equipment such as hydro jetters and video cameras for inspecting pipes. Plumbers also often work with various types of pipes and fittings, including copper, steel, and plastic, and they may be required to solder or weld pipes in order to make repairs or installations.
