SkillsFuture Credit is a credit for all eligible Singapore citizens to acquire new skills or enhance existing ones. It can be used for a wide range of SkillsFuture Credit-eligible courses, including:
- SGUnited Skills courses
- SGUnited Mid-Career Pathways Programme – Company Training courses
- Career Transition Programmes
Since 2016, Singapore citizens who turn 25 will receive an opening credit of $500.
From 1 Oct 2020, Singapore citizens aged 25 or above will receive a one-time $500 SkillsFuture Credit Top-up. In addition to this one time $500 credit top-up, Singapore citizens aged 40 to 60 in 2020 will receive an Additional SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career Support) of $500 claimable for SGUnited Skills courses, SGUnited Mid-Career Pathways Programme – Company Training courses and Career Transition Programmes.
Both the $500 SkillsFuture Credit Top-up and $500 Additional SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career Support) will expire on 31 Dec 2025.

How do I submit a claim for SkillsFuture Credit?
After you have selected a course here, you will have to first register for it with the training provider.
After you have successfully enrolled for a course, you can submit a claim for SkillsFuture Credit by following the steps below.
1. Log in on MySkillsFuture with Singpass and go to ‘SkillsFuture Credit’

2. Click on ‘Proceed to Submit a Claim’. Alternatively, you can click on ‘View Course Enrolments’ for a list of enrolled courses that your Training Provider has provided.

3. Click on ‘View More’ for enrolled course. Select the course you would like to claim SkillsFuture Credit for, and click on ‘Submit Claim’.

4. The page will show your course details and the course run or course start date. Scroll down to key in payment details and upload supporting documents. Check the ‘Terms & Conditions’ checkbox and click ‘Submit’.

5. Agree to the terms and conditions. Click Submit.

6. A pop-up for your declaration will appear. Click on Agree and Submit.

- When must I submit my claim for SkillsFuture Credit? – At the point of course registration, you should inform your Training Partner that you intend to use your SkillsFuture Credit in part of in full for the qualifying course fee. You should then submit your claim via MySkillsFuture within 60 days before the course start date (date inclusive).For Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), offered by overseas Training Partners, you may pay the gross course fees up front to the Training Partner and submit the claim for reimbursement of SkillsFuture Credit to you within 60 days before and 90 days after the course start date.
- When can I start claiming my SkillsFuture Credit? – How will I be notified about my SkillsFuture Credit Account?All Singapore Citizens aged 25 and above will be able to access their SkillsFuture Credit account and submit claims once they have received their account activation letter.Those turning 25 years old will receive their SkillsFuture Credit account activation letter by the first quarter of the same year. It is not intended to pay for training provided by employers, which should continue to be borne by your employer.SSG has been supporting the efforts of employers through the substantial subsidies that we provide for employer-supported training.
- I have registered for a course that I found on the course directory on MySkillsFuture.gov.sg with the Training Partner. However, I am unable to find this course when I try to submit a claim in MySkillsFuture. What should I do?Please ensure that you have entered your course details (for example, course ID, course name or Training Provider) accurately in the course search field.If you are still unable to find your course, please submit your query to SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) at https://portal.ssg-wsg.gov.sg.

- The course I am interested in is not eligible for SkillsFuture Credit. I would like to have the course that I am interested in attending to be eligible for SkillsFuture Credit. How can I appeal for the course to be eligible for SkillsFuture Credit? Please approach the Training Partner to consider submitting the course to be approved for use with the SkillsFuture Credit subject to the eligibility criteria. The course will be eligible for SkillsFuture Credit use once it is approved.The SkillsFuture Credit can only be used for skills-related courses with clear and relevant learning outcomes and can be used to pay for a wide range of approved courses including:
a. Courses subsidised or approved by the SkillsFuture Singapore Agency
b. Selected courses offered by Ministry of Education-funded institutions*
c. Courses supported by public agencies
d. SkillsFuture@PA courses offered by the People’s Association, courses offered by the Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore’s Silver Infocomm Junctions and selected courses under the National Silver Academy^

- Can I transfer my expiring SkillsFuture Credit (SFC) to my family members instead, especially if they have greater need for skills training, and can put it to better use than me? No, the SFC is not transferable to other individuals as it is meant to support individual ownership of skills development and lifelong learning.Besides the SFC, eligible individuals are also able to access subsidies of up to 90% for MOE- and SSG-supported courses at the Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) and approved private training providers.
