In South Africa, a Code B driver’s license allows you to drive light motor vehicles, including:

  1. Motorcycles with an engine capacity not exceeding 125cc, but not motor tricycles or motor quadricycles.
  2. Vehicles with a gross vehicle mass (GVM) not exceeding 3,500 kg.
  3. Vehicles that are constructed or permanently converted to transport no more than 16 people, including the driver.
  4. Vehicles that are constructed or permanently converted to transport goods and have a GVM not exceeding 3,500 kg.
