What is NUS famous for?

NUS is one of the most highly ranked and prestigious academic institutions in Asia and in the world. It has consistently featured in the top 30 of the QS World University Rankings and the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, and in the top 100 of the Academic Ranking of World Universities.

The National University of Singapore (NUS) has for the first time emerged as one of the world’s top 20 universities by reputation in a list topped by American Ivy League college Harvard. NUS climbed to the 19th spot in the Times Higher Education World Reputation Rankings released on Wednesday. It had held the 24th position in the table for the past four years. This puts the university ahead of other prestigious institutions such as the United States’ Johns Hopkins University and Cornell University, which came in 20th and 23rd, respectively.

The National University of Singapore (NUS) is also now among the top 10 higher education institutions in the world. NUS placed eighth in the latest Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings, which was released on Wednesday (Jun 28, 2023). It is the first Asian institution to break into the top 10. In the previous edition, it occupied the 11th spot.
