What subjects are on the PSLE ?

The Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) in Singapore assesses students in the following subjects:

1. English Language: This subject assesses a student’s proficiency in the English language, including reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.
2. Mother Tongue Language (MTL): This subject assesses a student’s proficiency in their respective Mother Tongue Language (e.g., Chinese, Malay, Tamil, etc.). Students are required to take the MTL based on their ethnicity.
3. Mathematics: This subject evaluates a student’s mathematical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
4. Science: This subject assesses a student’s understanding of basic scientific concepts and their ability to apply scientific knowledge.

These four subjects are the core components of the PSLE. Each subject is graded on the Achievement Level (AL) scale, with AL1 being the highest and AL8 being the lowest.
