Who invented PSLE?

The Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) was introduced in Singapore. It was first administered in 1960. The PSLE is a national examination in Singapore that is taken by students at the end of their primary education, typically around the age of 12. It is a significant milestone for students as it determines their placement in secondary schools. The examination is set and marked by the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB). PSLE was announced by then Minister for Education Yong Nyuk Lin on 31 March 1960. Literally, PSLE was government initiative with the full support of Yong Nyuk Lin and the Minister for Education.
