Direct Admissions Exercise (DAE)
The Direct Admissions Exercise (DAE) allows applicants with work experience to apply for admission to our full-time diploma courses.
Admission is based on merit and subject to available vacancies of the diploma courses.
Who can apply?
Applicants with work experience and meet the minimum entry requirement (MER) listed under the respective applicant type:
Working Adult
You must:
- Be a Singaporean Citizen (SC) or Permanent Resident (PR)
- Have at least two years of full-time work experience relevant to the full-time diploma courses that you are applying for
Part-time (PT) ITE Holder
You must meet one of the following conditions:
- Obtain final net Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 or better for Higher Nitec qualification with at least one year of relevant work experience, or
- Obtain final net Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.5 or better for Nitec qualification with at least one year of relevant work experience
WSQ Holder
You must:
- Possess relevant WSQ Diploma qualifications (or higher) with at least one year of relevant work experience

When and How to apply?
- The DAE application schedule is as follows:
- Application is made online through the DAE Application Portal. Please refer to our User Guide on how to apply.
- You may indicate up to 3 course choices in your application
- You are required to submit a brief write-up detailing your relevant experience in the areas related to the course(s) that you wish to be considered for.
- Please consider your choices very carefully, and check that all your information entered are accurate before submitting the application, as you will not be able to make any amendments upon submission.
What to Expect?
Posting
The outcome of your DAE application will be sent to your email account (indicated in your DAE application) on the following dates:

Enrolment
If your application is successful, you will receive an email with instructions on how to complete the online enrolment within 3-4 weeks.
