Your application will be delayed if your photograph does not meet ICA’s requirements. ICA will notify you via post/email if your photo is rejected and give directives for the way forward.
The processing time for a passport is around four to six weeks upon ICA’s receipt of the application, if you have submitted all the necessary documents. The processing time will be longer if your photograph does not meet the requirements. You will be notified of the outcome by email.
You can make an appointment to collect the passport at ICA Building. Operating hours are 8.00 am – 4.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays, and 8.00 am – 12.30 pm on Saturdays. Singapore allows walk-ins for passport renewal at the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) building. In-person passport application is strictly by appointment only. The documents required are the same for both modes (online & in-person) of application.
